Good [morning/afternoon], everyone. My name is Ear, and today I would like to share with you my journey as a P.E.T. instructor, how this training has impacted my relationships, and what my vision is for the future as an instructor.   I became a P.E.T. instructor because I have always been fascinated by human relationships and how communication can make or break them. I was looking for a way to make a positive difference in the lives of people, and I realized that teaching communication skills was a perfect fit for my values. When I first learned about P.E.T., I was drawn to its evidence-based approach to improving relationships, both for parents and for people in all walks of life. This motivated me to dive deeper and ultimately become an instructor to share these life-changing tools with others.   Since becoming a P.E.T. instructor, I have seen a dramatic improvement in my own relationships. For example, I’ve learned how to handle conflicts more effectively by using active listening and "I-messages," which has helped reduce misunderstandings and create more trust. These techniques have improved my interactions with family members, friends, and even in professional settings. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the changes in my relationships and to know that I can help others achieve similar results.   Opening my own P.E.T. workshops has been a transformative experience. One of the key lessons I’ve learned is that each participant brings their unique experiences and challenges, and it’s important to meet them where they are. I’ve seen how powerful the P.E.T. method is in helping people break through their communication barriers and create more fulfilling relationships. Running these workshops has also deepened my understanding of the P.E.T. principles, as teaching is one of the best ways to internalize and master these skills.   In the next year, I want to grow as a P.E.T. instructor by running more workshops and reaching out to new communities. I'll also work on improving my teaching based on feedback from participants. In three years, I hope to build a strong network of P.E.T. instructors and collaborate on advanced workshops that tackle specific challenges like handling tough conversations and building stronger relationships. In five years, I see myself mentoring new instructors and helping develop new training materials to keep the program up to date. My aim is to spread the benefits of effective communication and make a positive difference in people's lives.
