Hello, I am David, the head of the longest-named center at the SENS - the Informational-Analytical Center for Risk Assessment of Food Chain. But to be honest, it is also the tastiest department! What do we do? Our research and focus areas are quite broad, ranging from food security challenges to food safety issues and assessing the risks to human health. The unique aspect of our work is that every day, food scientist, technologists, statisticians, sociologists, chemists, and other experts collaborate side by side. Together, we conduct comprehensive assessments of risks to human health that arise from food consumption. Our research includes not only laboratory analysis of food but also complex studies of human diets.
