Today, we gather to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of our country, I am truly honor to stand here and share my thoughts. While I was at university, I came across a news story on our school’s website: one of our alumna had been selected as one of the first group of female deep-sea pilots of the “Jiaolong” submersible. I remember that moment so clearly—it felt like something deep inside me had suddenly awakened, like a volcano that had been dormant for years finally erupted. A quiet but powerful strength started growing inside me, accompanied by a strong sense of mission, and responsibility to contribute to my country. From that moment on, this inner strength became my guide, carrying me through the challenges of my studies, work and life. It gave me the courage to pursue what once seemed unattainable, the resilience to cope with pressure, depression during the fives years of studying abroad, and endless support I needed in moments of uncertainty.
