As Danny stormed out of the school, he couldn’t take it anymore. The pounding in his head was unbearable, the hunger clawing at him, and Alex’s presence only made things worse. Gritting his teeth, he let his frustration flare in his mind. "Aren’t you supposed to be helping me?" Danny's voice snapped in his head, the anger clear. "You turned me into this, Alex! If you're just going to watch me suffer, what's the point of you being here?" For a moment, Alex was silent. Danny could feel the slight shift in his mood—surprise, maybe even a flicker of guilt. "I was just joking around, Danny," Alex replied, his usual smooth confidence dampened. "I know you can handle yourself. I wasn’t trying to make things harder for you." There was a pause, and then his tone softened, almost hesitant. "But if it’s too much… if you’re struggling, we could… feed off each other next weekend. It would help take the edge off." Danny stopped in his tracks, stunned by the offer. Feeding off another vampire? The idea had never crossed his mind before. For a moment, he stood in the parking lot, trying to wrap his head around what Alex was suggesting. He could still feel the vampire’s presence lingering, waiting for his response. "How does that even work?" Danny asked after a long pause, curiosity and skepticism mixing in his thoughts. "I mean, if we're both vampires, what’s the point? I thought feeding was all about blood." Alex chuckled softly, the sound like velvet in Danny’s mind. "It is, but it’s different when it’s between vampires. The hunger never fully goes away, but feeding on each other can stabilize the urges for a while. It won’t be like feeding on humans, but it’ll calm you down. Keep you grounded. It can be… intimate, if you let it." Danny frowned, unsure what to make of it. Feeding off another vampire? Intimate? He wasn’t sure how he felt about that. But the idea of gaining some control, even just for a little while, was tempting. "Would it really help?" Danny asked, the doubt creeping into his thoughts. "Or is this just another one of your games?" Alex's tone was serious now, no hint of his usual teasing. "It would help. I wouldn’t offer if it wouldn’t." There was a pause, then Alex added, "But the choice is yours, Danny. If you’re not ready, that’s fine. Just know it’s an option." Danny chewed on his bottom lip, deep in thought. The hunger was growing harder to control with each passing day, and Alex’s offer… it could be a solution, at least for a little while. But he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to it than Alex was letting on. Still, the idea of being in control again, even briefly, was hard to ignore. "I’ll think about it," Danny finally replied, though he wasn’t sure what his decision would be. "But no more messing with me like that, Alex. If you’re really trying to help, prove it." "Fair enough," Alex responded, his voice carrying a hint of something softer, maybe even genuine. "I’ll be around when you’re ready." With that, the connection faded, leaving Danny alone in the parking lot, his mind buzzing with unanswered questions and the weight of a decision he didn’t know if he was ready to make.
