Natural Sciences: beyond our known horizons Are you interested in Science? Then you are in the right place! UNITO's School of Natural Sciences is the coordinating body and home for the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physics. And we work with a staff of over 400 professors and researchers to offer a wide variety of degree courses and research programmes. As a BSc undergraduate here, you will acquire solid knowledge of your subject's basic concepts. Whereas our post-graduate MSc degrees offer more advanced courses from specialised sectors that are of great interest and impact for the working activities of our region of Italy and the world beyond. In addition, our MSc degrees enable you to acquire some professional and managerial skills which you may choose to further refine by studying on one of our post-graduate Masters diploma courses. And those of you with a passion for research, who want to help companies introduce innovations for the benefit of our daily lives and the economy, can push your research skills even further by enrolling on one of our PhD programmes. Of course, the experimental lab experience is a fundamental component of all of our Science School courses and during your studies you will also be able to participate in one or more work experience internships in public and private companies or research institutions. This work experience is a precious formative activity in a non-academic context. A further means of broadening your horizons is to take advantage of the Erasmus programme. The Erasmus programme allows for a period of study or internship abroad and provides a first full-immersion academic experience with professors and researchers from other countries while often forging future professional contacts. In addition, some of our science courses are included in the Erasmus Mundus programme. This allows you to acquire a double degree from UNITO and one of the other universities participating in the programme. If you feel strongly motivated to study science, then we at the UNITO School of Natural Sciences can offer you many different courses focused on Science. And if for whatever reason, you experience any difficulties at the beginning of your studies with us, our expert teaching staff will provide you with the help and advice you need to get the most out of your course and move forward.
