Step 4: Prepare the Snapshot folder. Create a new folder named repldata, that stores the publication snapshot. The default location for the folder is: C, Program Files, Microsoft S Q L Server, MS S Q L.X, MS S Q L, Data, where X is the S Q L Server version. Share the repldata folder. Right-click the folder, and select Properties. Select the tab Sharing. Select Advanced Sharing. Select Share this folder. Select the tab Permissions. Give a Read permission to the user repl_distribution. Give a Full Control permission to the user repl_snapshot. The shared folder just created will be used later to configure the distribution.
