Microsoft recommends creating a Windows account for each agent: Snapshot, Log reader, Distribution. The user names for the Windows accounts can be, for example: repl_snapshot, repl_logreader, repl_distribution. Create the Windows accounts for the Snapshot, Log reader and Distribution agents locally in the Publisher server. If the Subscriber is in a different server, you need to create an additional Windows account (for example, repl_distribution) in the Subscriber server for the Distribution agent.
