The legacy version of the Reporting database has performance issues when used in customers with large data traffic. The performance issues are a consequence of the legacy architecture. As data is fetched using APIs, when dealing with large amounts of data, the API calls take a long time to execute on the Altitude uCI Server, and the Reporting database is unable to process large amounts of data in a 15-minute time interval, causing delays on the reporting data availability. The new architecture for Reporting Database, which we will see later, is designed in order to overcome the performance issues, since it is based on database replication. A set of Altitude uCI Server database tables is available in a replication database, so that customers can query the tables directly for reporting purposes.
